ITER Fusion for Energy requires the development of a matrix of neutron beam spectrometers made of diamond. The fabrication of the system will be carried out by Micron Semiconductor LTD, while the development of the metallizations suitable for guaranteeing operation up to 240 ° C and the construction of each single diamond detector will be carried out by the DiaTHEMA Lab of the CNR-ISM. The activity involves the electrical characterization of the detectors in temperature to ascertain any degradation of the detectors in real time.
